2.1 PostHog API Credentials

Hog Stats collects the following data from you:

• PostHog API key (restricted to project/query/event definition access only)
• PostHog project ID
• Event names and counts from your PostHog account
• Time range preferences for data analysis
• App usage data (button taps, navigation patterns)

2.2 Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device (UserDefaults):

• No cloud storage or synchronization
• Data persists until app deletion
• Your PostHog credentials are stored securely on device only

3. Data Transmission

Hog Stats transmits data in the following ways:

• HTTPS requests to PostHog API only
• No data sent to third parties except PostHog
• Only your own PostHog account data is accessed
• No data sharing for marketing or advertising purposes

4. User Control

You have complete control over your data:

• Users provide their own PostHog credentials
• Can change or remove credentials at any time
• No account registration required
• Can delete all local data by uninstalling the app

5. Third-Party Services

Hog Stats uses the following third-party services:

• PostHog analytics platform: Subject to PostHog's privacy policy
• No other third-party services: No additional data sharing or tracking

We implement the following security measures:

• Standard iOS security (HTTPS, UserDefaults)
• No custom encryption (uses iOS built-in security)
• Credentials stored securely on device only
• No data transmission to our servers

7. No Tracking/Advertising

Hog Stats does not engage in:

• No user tracking beyond app functionality
• No advertising or marketing data collection
• No data sharing for marketing purposes
• No analytics beyond PostHog data you choose to view

8. Data Retention

Data retention policies:

• Local data retained until app deletion
• PostHog data subject to PostHog's policies
• No data retention on our servers (we don't have any)

9. API Key Security

Important: Your PostHog API key should be restricted to:

• Project access only (specific project ID)
• Query permissions only
• Event definition access only
• No admin or write permissions

We recommend creating a restricted API key with minimal permissions for security.

10. Children's Privacy

Hog Stats is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

11. International Users

If you use Hog Stats from outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred, stored and processed in the United States where our servers are located and where our central database is operated.
