RunPredict - Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how RunPredict ("we", "our" or "us") collects, uses and protects your information when you use our mobile application. By using RunPredict, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

We use analytics to understand onboarding and settings usage and to improve the product. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) for this analytics path in our code.

2. Analytics provider

Analytics are processed by PostHog as a service provider. Data is sent to PostHog's EU ingestion endpoint (https://eu.i.posthog.com). For how PostHog handles data, see PostHog's privacy information.

3. What we process through analytics

Pseudonymous identifier. The app assigns a random identifier so events from the same install can be grouped over time. It is not your name or email.

Profile and usage. If you complete VO2-related onboarding or adjust settings, we may associate coarse attributes with that identifier—for example sex and age band from onboarding, how zones or VMA were set up, and bucketed pace information (not exact pace in our analytics). We send analytics events about onboarding, settings changes (including VMA and training zones using those buckets), and related app usage.

Device and session metadata. The PostHog SDK may also attach typical device and session information (such as OS, app version, and session context). See PostHog's documentation for details.

We deliberately avoid sending exact VMA pace in analytics; we use coarse buckets and delta buckets where applicable.

4. Local storage on your device

The app keeps a pseudonymous identifier and minimal analytics-related state on your device so the service can work consistently (for example avoiding duplicate events).

5. Purposes and legal bases

We use this information to operate and improve RunPredict (analytics, product development, understanding onboarding and settings). 6. Retention and your rights

How long data is kept depends on our configuration with PostHog and PostHog's policies. You may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or objection under applicable law. Contact us below to exercise your rights or ask questions.

PostHog is a US-based company. Using the EU ingestion endpoint may limit certain transfers; processing may still involve transfers or access under PostHog's terms and applicable safeguards. See PostHog's documentation for details.

8. Children's privacy

RunPredict is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us.

We use secure connections (such as HTTPS) and rely on platform security practices appropriate to a consumer app.
